Q What has changed with the updated 7mm knee sleeves?
A The updated 7mm knee sleeves offer the same great support as our original knee sleeves, but now incorporate our antimicrobial technology to minimise bacteria and reduce odour, feature an improved inner lining with greater grip and resistance to runs, and use our latest advancements in the spiral seam to reinforce the construction. They also feature the new SBD logo, bringing further consistency across our product range.
Q Why has the price increased?
A The new 7mm knee sleeves have been updated to include our latest advancements in seams and linings to further improve longevity and performance. They also now have the same antimicrobial inner lining found in the weightlifting and powerlifting knee sleeves to minimise bacteria and reduce odour.
Q How should I wash the 7mm knee sleeves?
A We recommend hand washing the sleeves with warm water and a mild detergent (or with a specialist neoprene or wetsuit detergent), then allowing the sleeves to air dry standing up.
The spin cycle of a washing machine can damage the sleeve, as the knee sleeves become quite bulky when wet and can potentially get caught up or damaged by wringing. High heat from a washing machine or a dryer will degrade the rubber in the sleeves (potentially causing shrinkage or brittleness).
Q What is the warranty on the new 7mm knee sleeves?
A We provide a 12-month warranty period against production defects on all our products. Although we expect our products to last a significant amount of time, we would expect that in the rare event that a production defect is missed by our quality control, then it would be apparent to the customer within this period. Issues outside of this period are typically attributable to wear and tear.
Q What is the difference between the updated 7mm knee sleeves, the weightlifting knee sleeves, and the powerlifting knee sleeves?
A Each model of knee sleeves provides a different level of support and compression and are suited to different sports, exercises and preferences.
The 7mm knee sleeves are designed to minimise the risk of injury and to aid performance, and are ideal for powerlifting and heavy training or for someone wanting more support than the 5mm weightlifting knee sleeves.
The 7mm powerlifting knee sleeves are made with a much higher density neoprene than the 7mm knee sleeves. This allows for significantly greater compression throughout knee flexion to maximise support and confidence during maximal attempts.
The 5mm weightlifting knee sleeves are made with a slightly thinner neoprene panel and a four-way stretch fabric, allowing for a greater range of motion. These knee sleeves are ideal for dynamic movements, such as weightlifting or CrossFit-style training, as well as being ideal
for less intense training sessions, or simply if you want a pair of sleeves that are easier to put on.
All of the knee sleeves now feature an anti-microbial inner lining
to minimise bacteria and reduce odour, and the weightlifting and powerlifting knee sleeves also have an outer lining that has greater abrasion resistance than the 7mm sleeves.
